Alzheimer Education Services

 In-Home Volunteer Respite

    Respite care is a service that provides a break of time or relief from the constant everyday responsibility of a person requiring constant supervision.

    Williams County Health Department provides in-home respite to caregivers of persons in Williams County afflicted with Alzheimer disease or other irreversible dementia, such as Parkinson's disease, Pick's disease, Multi-infarct dementia and others.

•   Trained volunteers deliver this service in the home
•   Volunteers provide 4 hours of Companionship Service per visit
•   Volunteers are assigned to an eligible family and remain with the family until services are terminated.

Case Management Services

•   Referral and coordination of community resources for families
•   Education and planning on an ongoing basis for families
•   Develop a plan of care with the family
