Since our goal is to promote traffic and highway safety throughout the county we offer the following program.

"Ohio Buckle Buckeyes" Car Seat Program

    Child car seats are available through the health department on a sliding fee scale.  Education and child car seat checks are also available.  Call the health department for more information.

    Using a car seat correctly can make a big difference.  Even the safest seat may not protect your child in a crash.  So take the time to properly install and use the car seat every time.

    Remember, infants in a rear facing seat should NEVER be placed in the front seat of a vehicle that has a passenger side air bag.  Infants should ride facing the back of the car until they are 20 pounds and are one year of age.
